Featured in the following are “Master Class” type lessons unlocking secrets from legendary guitarists Keith Richards, Jimi Hendrix, Stevie Ray Vaughan and blues great B. B. King.

The ‘Honky Tonk Woman’ Riff
This is one of the more famous and recognizable riffs that utilize the country string bending technique. Keith Richards plays this classic song in open G tuning, as he does many of his guitar parts, and in this lesson learn how to replicate it in open G and A positions.

The Jimi Hendrix Rhythm Effect
Jimi Hendrix had a truly powerful rhythm guitar approach that was beautifully designed to incorporate both lead and rhythm guitar, and accommodate the fact that he was basically in a three-piece band. His technique varied widely from heavy power chord licks to smooth R&B/country-like sounds.

The Stevie Ray ‘Shuffle’
Stevie Ray Vaughan in many ways followed in Jimi Hendrix’s footsteps, and loved to emulate many elements of Jimi’s style of playing. For one, he loved to tune down like Hendrix did. Also, by playing with a rhythm section, Vaughan was able to create similarly “large” sounding rhythm parts.

The B.B. King ‘Box’ Position
In this lesson learn perhaps the No. 1 reason for B.B King’s incredibly recognizable style and technique. Even though he is a truly masterful and complex guitarist, he has over the years been whittling his style down to some very basic “signature” licks and runs that are instantly identifiable.
